Features to know about

Stop Freeze Damage Before It Starts

Water lines split open when they freeze. Batteries lose charge faster in the cold. Engines, pumps, and other critical systems might not survive those nights that fall below zero. That's exactly what this heater was built to prevent. At 800 watts, it has the power to keep large RV basements and boat engine compartments above freezing, and the forced-air design pushes heat into the corners where damage usually starts.

Permanent Bracket Holds It in Place

This kit includes a mounting bracket, made for RV and boat owners who don't plan to move their heater around. The anodized aluminum resists corrosion, so it can stay installed year after year without worry. Once mounted, it stays put with a four-point bolt-on design that keeps it secure in engine compartments or RV bays. Plus, the heater itself comes with a 15' marine-rated cord with a standard plug attached, so you've got some length to place it where you need (and you don't need to hardwire anything).

Thermostat Automatically Turns On and Off

You have better things to do than sit there watching a gauge. That's why the thermostat is fixed to switch on at 40ºF and shut down at 55ºF, which is the range that keeps your plumbing, batteries, and tanks safe. It's high enough to stop freeze damage, but it doesn't waste energy making it warmer than you need.

Ignition Protection Keeps You Safe

Putting any electrical gear in an enclosed space can make people cautious, especially around fuel. This unit is ignition-protected, which means it's been tested to make sure it won't ignite fuel vapors in engine compartments or bays. For boaters, that's critical for safety when mounting in the bilge. For RV owners, it means reliable operation even in tight spaces where safety standards really matter.

Notes:

  • If your boat is docked on a lift or trailer, you may need to consider increasing the wattage of the heater up one level to compensate for heat loss. Make sure to cover the fresh air vents to prevent air from escaping and the cold from coming in, resulting in a more efficient heater and saving you money.
  • Because boats vary in materials, insulation, and design, it's essential to carefully assess your specific needs and climate to determine the most suitable heater. In some cases, depending on the size and configuration of your boat, more than one heater may be necessary to ensure adequate protection.

Video Transcript for Review of Xtreme Heaters RV Heaters - Large Boat RV Heater With Mounting Bracket - XH59FR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this Xtreme Heaters large boat and RV heater with mounting bracket. Now, this 800 watt extreme heater is going to be a great solution for you to consider for boats up to 35 feet long, including larger cruisers, day boats, runabouts, cutting cabins, fishing vessels, houseboats and yachts. This large bills heater is designed to effectively maintain above freezing temperatures in your engine compartment, providing robust protection against cold weather. This is going to help prevent costly engine repair, pump and plumbing damage in boats that are left in water over the winter. But this heater can also be used in your fifth wheels, your travel trailers, campers, all to protect your water lines, tanks, and lithium batteries.

That's gonna give you a peace of mind when the RV is in storage or parked unattended. So whether your boat is in the water or stored on the lift, this 800 watt Xtreme Heater is going to be an essential tool in your winterization process. So if your boat is stored on a lift or trailer, we do recommend choosing a heater one size larger than the suggested model, or a second heater for optimal performance. And on your screen, popping up a photo there just to show you one of these installed, to give you an idea of what this is going to look like installed in your boat. The true forced air heating's going to circulate air more effectively.

It's going to heat more evenly for more accurate climate control, while maintaining those critical systems above freezing and cold weather. I got an extension cord here. I'm gonna go ahead and plug this in real quick just so you can hear that fan. Now this does have a fail safe design that cannot overheat, and the heating technology is dynamic and it's self-regulating. The automatic thermostat is going to turn the heater on at 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and then off at 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

So my studio is a little over 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so the heat's not going to actually kick on. But right now it's running kind of like it's in standby. So that fan just kicked on and now it kicked off. So the heat's not actually going to kick on until it falls within that 40 degree to 55 degree range. But I just wanted you to hear the motor.

It's relatively quiet and so it's not going to be a disturbance at all. Now this is corrosion resistant. It is fully anodized, it's ignition protected, and this is going to be a pretty easy installation. It's got a small footprint, has a 15 foot long marine rated power cord. And as you can see, a three-pronged plug. And just to give you some measurements here that I took before our time together. Looking at the overall length from end to end, about eight inches long, if you add the feet a little over nine inches, the overall height about 5 1/8 inches tall. And then the overall depth about 3 1/2 inches wide or deep. And this is certified and independently tested. It's tested to US Coast ignition protected standards. And then mill spec tested for vibration, humidity, and then high, low or let me try that again. High low temperatures, humidity or vibration on that mill spec testing. Now you see here that it does come with an included mounting bracket. And so this is really going to help ease the installation. It's going to give you the ability to mount this horizontally, vertically, or even on an upside down orientation. So you're gonna have a secure permanent mounting with the included hardware. And this is an anodized aluminum construction, so you're not gonna have to worry about rust or corrosion. And as you can see, it's just going to go on those mounting points, and then you'll tighten it down with the hardware. So this is gonna be included with this. This is about 12 3/4 inches long and five inches wide. Now we also have a quick release bracket that is available as well if you want to quickly take this out when you don't need it. So if you want to take a look at that quick release bracket option on your screen, I am including the model number, just take that model number and pop it in the search field of our website. That'll take you to that bracket and you can add that to your order. And then we also include this, we also provide this heater without this bracket as well. So if you don't need this bracket, you can find that option here. Now, if you happen to have any other additional questions, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We do wanna be sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. That's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

I like that the Xtreme Heaters 800 watt heater (XH59FR) is built to handle big RV bays or boat bilge spaces without you having to constantly check on it. I was impressed by how the automatic thermostat takes the guesswork out since it switches on at forty degrees and shuts off at fifty five, which is the right range to keep water lines, tanks, and even lithium batteries from freezing. The forced air design spreads heat more evenly into the corners where cold usually sneaks in, and the ignition protection means you can feel safe mounting it in an enclosed engine compartment where fumes might be a concern. I also like that it comes with a permanent anodized aluminum bracket that bolts down solidly so you do not have to worry about it shifting or rusting over time. If you have ever dealt with split water lines or frozen equipment after a cold snap, this setup gives you peace of mind. It is best for larger RVs or boats that have access to shore power, but if your rig or vessel is stored on a lift or trailer where it loses heat faster you may want to step up in size or run a second unit. Overall I was impressed by how this heater gives you reliable power, safe operation, and a durable design that you can just plug in, mount, and trust through the winter.

So far it works great. Put it in the underbelly of a 5th wheel and used the fixed mounting plate. Wasn't sure if I needed the quick disconnect bracket or the fixed but the fixed worked fine. Haven't had to switch it on yet but will let you know if I have any trouble.
